Booking your wheelchair space

Picture of male in a wheelchair Te Huia has two wheelchair spaces per train. To book a wheelchair space on board one of our services, please use the form below.

Each booking is one way only –  please book each way of your trip separately if required. Please note the time stated is for the first station on the route (Frankton or Strand station). If you are boarding at Rotokauri or Huntly, please refer to the timetable for arrival and departure times from these stations.  

There is no charge for your wheelchair booking but the fare must be covered at the time of travel. Please show your Accessibility Concession Bee Card or pay your fare on board the train, as well as your wheelchair booking e-ticket.

Cancelling your booking

If you wish to cancel your booking, it is really important you contact us via email tehuiatrain@waikatoregion.govt.nz or call 0800 205 305 so we can open up your booking for another wheelchair user who may need it.
